Paul Blart: Mall Cop

If this is your first time viewing my movie blog it'd be in your best interest to click back and read my first post which explains my rating system. I would hate to confuse anyone. On the other hand if you are a follower of my blog, you are amazing, so ignore this message and read on!

In this post I am going to be reviewing,
Paul Blart: Mall Cop, starring Kevin James.

Now before I even start I just wanted to vent a little bit about the past couple of movies produced by Happy Madison. They stunk! What happened to the days of Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore? It just ticks me off. Okay, now back to Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Overall the film wasn't as good as I anticipated. The script was decent for the most part and I feel that it was written well for each part. It needs to be said that some of the characters were just plain lame, corny, and totally predictable. However, the story line keeps you interested almost the entire time. I will admit that I did have quite a few laughs while watching, but it was all on account of Kevin James, who plays his typical role as the lovable goof. In my opinion this movie would have been completely horrible had he not played the leading role. I would watch this movie again, sadly only as a rental. See my ratings below.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Theater: Waste of money - 3/10
Purchase: Not quite worth it - 4/10
Netflix: Definately worth it - 7/10

Read first! This is how I rate the movies!

I usually don't go and see movies at the theater. Why, do you ask? It's just too freakin' expensive, bottom line. You buy tickets, popcorn, a drink, maybe some candy, who knows what else? It starts to add up, especially if you take someone with you. A date for example. Oh, and what if the movie totally sucks? You leave the movie thinking, I am such and idiot and I just wasted my money! However, I have recently started going back to the movie theater. Maybe because I'm bored at this point in my life, or because I missed the popcorn...who knows.

Anyway let me get back on track. I just wanted to talk about a few of the newer movies I have seen, and tell you where to watch, or if it's even worth watching at all. Don't worry, I won't give anything away, so if you were about to close the browser on account of this being a spoiler blog, go ahead and read on.

Before you begin let me explain how I rate the movies. It's fairly simple, it goes like this. If they are worth spending the dough at the theater, buying them on dvd when they are released, and renting them. I also give them worth factors, ten being the high, with of course one being the low.

Keep in mind I am not actually rating the movie itself because let's face it, I'm no Roger Ebert. I am merely sharing my opinion on how you should choose to spend your hard earned dollar to watch the film. Okay, let's get started. If you think you can trust my opinion start reading the reviews...
